2020 Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit Finalist Alexa Bagnell
Which horse(s) are you taking to the finals and what are their lifetime earnings?
My main horse is an 8-year-old stud named Sweaty (Fired Up Ta B Famous). The second horse will just be there for back up, he is a 4-year-old stud I call Dean (CS All American Guy, 2016 Sorrel Stallion by Frenchmans Guy x My American Honey by Dash Ta Fame, Tennessee bred).

What is your horse(s)' style when running barrels and what's unique or fun about their personality?
Sweaty makes my job fun. He is relaxed and LOVES his job. He might be taking a quick nap a few girls before we go but the switch always flips on when we go through the gate. I have never had a horse that was as up for anything as he is. Sweaty isn’t one you want to override and likes to work off his hind end. He is strong but smooth!

What are some favorite memories/highlights and obstacles you faced getting to the 2020 circuit finals?
2020 was an odd year for everyone and with it brought the most obstacles. There were less rodeos to go to and most of them were on the other side of the state for me so I went to rodeos I might not have otherwise. I can’t thank the rodeo committees enough for going above and beyond this year to make sure the rodeos still went on despite everything going on. Simply being able to rodeo this summer was the biggest highlight and something I am very grateful for.

When you're headed to the rodeo what do you listen to: inspirational podcasts, music, audio books?
When I am on my way to a rodeo there is always a phone call or two I make. One is to my dad and the other is to my sister, Jessica. She always gives me the last couple of words of advice and knows I need to hear, “don’t kick” and “stay out of his way.”
