Which horse(s) are you taking to the finals? McQueen (MM WHIZERY N CHEX)
What is unique about their personality and what are their strengths? I would compare him to a grumpy
old grandpa. His strengths are how fast he gets you to the calf and how consistent he is.
How tall are they and what is their weight (thought it would be fun to compare)?14.3 hands and 1000 lbs
What are your favorite memories/highlights and obstacles you faced getting to the 2025 circuit finals? The highlight of my year was making it to the San Angelo Stockshow short round.
How long have you been a WPRA member and how many circuit finals have you qualified for? This is my second year in the WPRA and my second Circuit Finals.
When did you start competing in breakaway? Junior high rodeos and in the Central Montana Little Wranglers open junior rodeos
Do you raise your own horses? Or do you purchase? Are you looking for specific bloodlines? My family usually buys yearlings based off of bloodlines and then raise them on the ranch. Except for my good horse Foxy Rea "Ringo" that is hurt right now, I got him trained from Bridgeman Farms in Manitoba.
What are your conditioning and workout routines for both you and your horse(s)? Keeping them legged up is important before the finals but I also try to give them some time off after the summer run.
When you're headed to a rodeo what do you listen to: inspirational podcasts, music, audio books? Rodeo podcasts or all sorts of music.
What or who are you thankful for? My main mount Ringo that isn’t able to make this trip, but has carried me this far. My parents and grandma who have believed in me every step of the way. Caleb, who’s been helping me practice and been my biggest supporter since day one. Georgia Orahood for letting me mount out on her awesome horse McQueen.
Do you have favorite spots to stop at or favorite snacks while on the road? Any coffee shop, sunflower seeds, and a lot of candy.
Who do you travel with (including pets or companion horses) and in what kind of rig? Most of the year I was with Charley Yeager, my heeler puppy Billy and I kept her young this summer.
What are your hobbies or other sports do you compete in? I have recently picked up pickle ball.
