Tell us about your rig and traveling partners. 2005 F350 4 door dually and a Sooner 4 horse w/living quarters. I travel with my husband (Rick), My daughter (Tayla) and My dogs (Zeb & Blue)
What do you like most about being on the rodeo road? We like everything about rodeo especially that we can do it as a family
What do you like least about the rodeo road? The price of diesel.
What was your favorite 2010 Montana rodeo/committee (what special things did the committee do)? Vaughn—The committee was really trying to put on a professional show with all the extras.
What was your best rodeo moment of 2010? Plains—Charger had one of his best runs ever.
Besides pro rodeos do you compete in other rodeo or barrel racing organizations? Women’s Northern Rodeo Ass. and Canadian Pro Rodeo
What are your rodeo plans in 2011? Same as 2010
What kind of tack and bits do you use on your horse? I ride a Merrill barrel saddle by Three Forks Saddlery and I use Myler bits.
What do you feed your horse? Triple Crown, Performance Oil, and Corta RX with a good quality grass/alfalfa hay
What do you do for a warm-up and do you have any superstitions or rituals before a run? We long trot and lope circles in both leads, then Rick always stretches Charger front and back and puts his wraps on. No superstitions
What do you do during the week to keep your horse in shape? I ride him once a week to work the pattern and then pony him the rest of the time.
Tell us about your family. Husband Rick and daughter Tayla. They are absolutely the best support team and coaches I could ever ask for.
What’s your occupation, besides barrel racing? Certified K-8 teacher—Right now working as a part time Aide.
