Tell us about your horse(s) (age, personality, running style, where you got them, etc). Raren To Dash is a 13 year old Stallion, super kind horse, free runner, he’s from Oklahoma. Raren Rodney, 8 yr old gelding, by Raren To Dash, he’s a big baby, free runner, we raised him, Raren Julia, 6 yr old mare, by Raren To Dash, a mare!, free runner, we raised her.

What horse(s) are you going to be riding at the circuit finals? Not sure yet.

Tell us about your rig and traveling partners. It’s hard to have a one most of the time hauling a stallion. Although we did travel with Morgan Knudson early in the year, she was a blast!

What do you like most about being on the rodeo road? No clue, sometimes I wonder why I do it!

What do you like least about the rodeo road?
All the miles on my rig.

What was your favorite 2010 Montana rodeo/committee (what did the committee do that was special)? Missoula, it paid good & they gave a nice buckle.

What was your best rodeo moment of 2010? It’s not one thing—laughing with my friends!

Besides pro rodeos do you compete in other rodeo or barrel racing organizations? NRA Rodeo, UBRC, JJK and NBHA barrrel racing.

What are your rodeo plans in 2011? I have not a clue—kinda of depends what the family wants to do for fun.

What kind of tack and bits do you use on your horse? All kinds.

What kind of saddle do you ride in? Dasher’s is a very old Tex Tan.

What do you feed your horse? A good grass mix hay, Proform, and also I am a distributor for Seabuck Complete and use it.

What do you do for a warm-up and do you have any superstitions or rituals before a run? Lope & trot—no superstitions.

What do you do during the week to keep your horse in shape? Ride them out, ranch work & sometimes roping.
