Which horse(s) are you taking to the finals? Baybe Bullet
What is unique about their personality and what are their strengths? How tall are they and what is their weight (thought it would be fun to compare)? Baybe is one of the best horses we have ever owned. She is so fun to be around and compete on! Baybe is about 15 hands.
When did you start competing in breakaway? I have been roping for my entire life.
How long have you been a WPRA member and how many finals qualifications? I have been a WPRA member since 2009. 1x Barrel Racing (Badlands) 4x Breakaway (Montana).
Do you raise your own horses? Or do you purchase? Are you looking for specific bloodlines? We raise mostly all of our own horses. We like mostly running bred horses, occasionally crossed on a little cow.
What are your conditioning and workout routines for both you and your horse(s)? I try to keep my horse in shape so she can compete to the best of her ability.
When you're headed to the rodeo what do you listen to: inspirational podcasts, music, audio books? I love to listen to audio books, but I will also occasionally listen to a podcast if it is with someone that I'd really like to listen/learn from.
Do you have favorite spots to stop or snacks while on the road? I love Bubblers and sunflower seeds for late night drives. My favorite gas stations are Mavericks.
Who do you travel with (including pets or companion horses) and in what kind of rig? I mainly travel by myself with my family and horses. However, I occasionally travel with Jessica Holmes, Ashley Day, Sarah Verhelst, or Anna Callaway.
What are your favorite memories/highlights and obstacles you faced getting to the 2024 circuit finals? My favorite memory was the Missoula, Bozeman, Cascade, Chinook, Glasgow week with my sister Jessica. She had never traveled through Montana so it was fun showing her the state!
What or who are you thankful for? Most importantly my husband and kids, as well as the rest of my family. I am also thankful for our horses that allow us to compete at a professional level. Definitely can't leave out my sponsors that help me get down the road.
What are your hobbies or other sports you compete in? I occasionally barrel race and team rope. I also love to watch football and basketball.
