Which horse(s) are you taking to the finals? Probably Boons Fancy Gal "Tesla" (2014 bay mare by Rey Jay Boon x Fancy Smoke Gal by Glo Dun Smoke, Montana bred). Sadly, Lectric Reys "Spice" is out with an injury.

What is unique about their personality and what are their strengths? Tesla is quiet and shy by nature, but can run and stop hard. She has big lower lip that she let’s hang down when she is relaxed. She has a big booty. Spice is cherry sorrel in color with a unique silver mane. Her name kind of describes her personality. She scores like a rock, has a longer stride than Tes and stops big every time. These mares are half sisters.

When did you start competing in breakaway? I started roping competitively in 1993

How long have you been a WPRA member and how many finals qualifications? Four years and three finals qualifications

Do you raise your own horses? Or do you purchase? Are you looking for specific bloodlines? We purchase our horses and train them. We look for cow/reining crossed with running bloodlines.

What are your conditioning and workout routines? I do 3 high-intensity workouts per week, stretching 4 times a week and cardio 2 times, plus cold plunge.

When you’re headed to the rodeo what do you listen to: inspirational podcasts, music, audio books? Mental Performance Daily hosted by Brian Cain and Huberman Lab: mental training and visualization.

What or who are you thankful for? I am thankful for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, my husband, Stacey, and our kids, Rylee and Colt. I’m also thankful for my awesome traveling partners.

Do you have favorite spots to stop or snacks while on the road? Protein shakes and Spindrift real fruit sparkling water.

Who do you travel with (including pets or companion horses)? Ellie Meeks, Shaylee Wahl, Jaime Haigh and Paige Belle Camp.

What are your favorite memories/highlights and obstacles you faced getting to the 2024 circuit finals? Winning at rodeos I've never won at.

What are your hobbies or other sports you compete in? I have started golfing a bit alongside our son, Colt. It is so much fun to get out on the course with him and my husband too!
